Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves are designed for a variety of general applications for controlling liquids, gases, and slurries. We offer wafer and lug butterfly valves in a range of sizes, performance ratings, and actuation options. Our Butterfly Valves are soft-seated butterfly valves designed for a variety of general applications in the control of water, air, oil, gases, and corrosive media. They are equally effective for on-off, throttling, or isolation service requirements. Designed for dead-end service to the full pressure rating of the valve and is well suited for higher velocity service and vacuum service.

Features

  • Designed for dead-end service to the full pressure rating of the valve
  • Blowout-proof stem
  • Well suited for higher velocity and vacuum service
  • Lug style, ductile iron body is sizes from 2 to 24 in. (50 to 600mm)

Chexter Check Valves

This self-actuating check valve responds automatically to changes in pressure and flow within a system, it is spring loaded and closes securely. Its slim, face-to-face dimension saves space by allowing the valve to fit in close piping arrangements. Check Valves can be used in a variety of applications including chilled and hot water systems, refrigeration, plumbing, air conditioning, gas and liquid applications, water filtration, oxygen systems, boiler feed lines, centrifugal pump and compressor systems, and process applications.

Features

  • Single moving part ensures long, trouble-free service life.
  • Sizes: 2 to 36 in. (50 to 900mm)
  • Eccentrically mounted, contoured disc design yields flow coefficients much higher than most check valves.
  • Self-actuating valve opens fully at very low pressure differential and adapts to all flow conditions.

Control Chek Valves

CONTROL CHEK valves incorporate balancing, shut off, and check valve functions into a single, compact, and easily installed unit. It provides significant savings in space, labor, and maintenance. The CONTROL CHEK with suction diffuser strains out particles that could damage the pump. Designed for installation in pump discharge piping where it performs triple duty.

Features

  • Cast Iron body
  • Sizes 2 in. – 16 in. (50 – 400 mm)
  • Acts as a silent check valve, a shutoff valve, and a balancing valve in pump discharge piping applications.
  • Valve closes prior to flow reversal which protects the pump and guards against water hammer.

Line Blinds

Line blinds are designed for applications that require positive visual indication of line closure and line opening. We offer line blinds in a range of sizes, pressure ratings, and material construction.

Features

  • O-ring seals provide positive, dead-tight shutoff.
  • Stainless steel guide pins in face of the body flange ensure accurate alignment of spectacle plate.
  • Designed for quick and easy installation.

Silent Check Valves

Silent Check Valves are used in a variety of liquid, air, and gas applications to prevent flow reversal and associated water hammer, vibration, and surges. They are available in a range of configurations and sizes, including compact dimensions for limited spaces — as well as multiple pressure classes and material construction.

Suction Diffusers

Suction diffusers provide economical and compact pump protection by straining foreign particles and providing proper flow conditions to the pump. Mounts directly to the suction side of a pump. Available in multiple sizes and pressure classes.

Features

  • Straightening vanes on outlet side reduces turbulence into pump, minimizing stress and erosion within pump.
  • Reduces installation cost and joint leak paths because one unit acts as elbow, strainer, and entry pipe to the suction side of the pump.
  • Knobs or bolts open quickly for easier maintenance access.
  • O-ring seal eliminates need to clean sealing area and install a new flat gasket.

SURE CHECK Valves

Used in a variety of liquid and gas applications to prevent flow reversal and associated surge and water hammer, these check valves are designed for vertical and horizontal flow applications. They are available in a range of configurations and sizes, including compact dimensions for limited spaces — as well as multiple pressure classes and material construction. Integrated elastomer seats allow complete sealing.

Features

  • Dual shaft design allows interchangeability of shafts.
  • Torsion springs close valve prior to flow reversal and provide long sealing capability.
  • Buna-N elastomer seats.
  • Compact design with short face-to-face dimensions minimizes space requirements.
  • Silent closing.

Tee Strainers

Tee strainers are designed to remove foreign particles from pipelines and provide effective and economical protection of pumps, valves, and similar more costly equipment. Available in several performance classes and material construction.

Features

  • Sizes 2 in. – 36 in. (50 – 900 mm)
  • Quick Opening cover available.
  • Used to strain foreign matter from pipelines and provide economical protection for pumps and other mechanical equipment.
  • Fabricated body and 304 Stainless Steel basket strainer (other alloys available).

Turbine Meter Strainers

Turbine meter strainers provide economical protection for costly pumps, meters, valves, and other similar mechanical equipment by straining foreign matter from the connected piping system. These strainers are used extensively to protect displacement water meters and other sensitive fluid monitoring devices.

Features

  • Compact design with short face-to-face dimensions allow for installation in tight spaces
  • Protects displacement water meters and other sensitive fluid monitoring devices with minimum 2-to-1 Open Area Ratio per AWWA requirements
  • Sizes 1 1⁄2 in. – 8 in. (40 – 200 mm)
  • Offered in either a Cast Iron body with a 304 Stainless Steel screen, or Cast Aluminum body with a 304 Stainless Steel screen.

Y Strainers

Y (Wye) strainers mechanically remove solids from flowing steam, gases or liquid piping systems with the use of a perforated or wire mesh straining screen, and are used to protect equipment. From a simple low pressure cast iron threaded strainer to a large, high pressure special alloy unit with a custom cap design, we have the right product for the application. Strainers are available in a wide variety of materials and ANSI Classes through 2500#.
